Richie is the Head Instructor, bringing a disciplined, real-world approach shaped by his background in the United States Marine Corps. With years of experience as a professional selfdefense instructor, he specializes in practical, no-non sense training that builds confidence, awareness, and capability. Richie is passionate about empowering people of all ages to protect themselves, think clearly under pressure, and develop both physical skill and mental resilience.

As a native of El Paso and a proud parent of three boys, Richie is deeply invested in strengthening both his students and the community he calls home. He believes self-defense is about more than physical skills—it’s about confidence, character, and responsibility. Richie is committed to creating a safe, supportive where students of all ages learn discipline, resilience, and the mindset to protect themselves and others.

About Me

With a background in self-defense instruction and youth leadership, Shelly brings a people-centered approach to training and mentorship. She has taught practical self-defense skills and helped lead teens on overseas trips, guiding them through new challenging environments. These experiences shaped her passion for teaching confidence, situational awareness, and personal responsibility, while creating supportive spaces where students feel empowered to grow, learn, and lead.

As a mother of three boys and a longtime El Paso resident, my mission is rooted in service, growth, and community. I want to help students build confidence, resilience, and strong character, skills that extend far beyond training. Alongside Richie, my create a safe, empowering space that strengthens families, supports our local community, and equips the next generation to lead with courage, discipline, and integrity.
