Training Beyond the Test
We train for what a road test never checks: distracted drivers, winter snow and ice, night driving, and the Hwy 40 and I-270 corridors. Teens are 50% more likely to crash in their first month than after a year (AAA Foundation), so we prepare them well beyond the minimum.
Adventure-based learning
Instead of slideshows and worksheets, our themed, interactive classrooms are built around how teens actually learn and retain. A teen who is engaged remembers the lesson when it counts.
GPS and cameras in every car
Every Jungle vehicle has a GPS and camera system, so after each lesson you get a post-drive report of where your teen drove and how they did. You stop guessing and reinforce the right habits at home.

Born and raised in St. Louis, Shannon has spent her entire career helping people learn — first as a second-grade teacher, then across 25 years in corporate technology, most recently as Vice President of Training & Education. She holds an MBA from Saint Louis University and founded her own consultancy before deciding her next chapter needed to be closer to home — and closer to the community she loves. Shannon launched Jungle Driving School STL alongside her husband Ben, her partner in both life and business, to bring something St. Louis genuinely needs: driver education that takes the craft of teaching seriously.
Silverback Matt
Certified Instructor
Raised in Missouri, Matt came to driving the way most people do; behind the wheel, figuring it out. What set him apart was what came next: nearly 30 years and close to 2 million miles as a professional commercial truck driver, hauling freight through all kinds of weather imaginable, and learning something new about the road on a regular basis. That last part matters to him. After three decades behind the wheel, Matt will be the first to tell you that driving is a craft. One that deserves to be taught with real seriousness and genuine care.
